Went for a Saturday afternoon drive through the lovely Yarra Valley and stopped at The Grand in Healesville. Kitchen was open at 2-something PM, so perfect. I had chicken schnitzel with vege and gravy (really nice) and my wife had steak and vege which she was excellent. The sun was shining so we sat in the beer garden enjoying some easy listening tunes from a couple of local artists. Some of the outdoor furniture needs upgrading otherwise 5 stars.
Charming helpful staff. Rm 11 was a simple small room on third floor (3 flights of stairs) with gable window overlooking front roof. Clean and comfortable bed and carpet. Multiple shared bathrooms a few metres down the hall were very clean and spacious, so sharing them was no trouble. Down one level was self serve tea and coffee in a room with tables (nor picturesque, but functional). Parking was plentiful and free 100m walk round the back. Room needed a mirror.
Super friendly staff and quick service despite two large groups. Food was great pub fair with large portions.
Good honest food. Drinks available at the bar at reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly. Can get a little noisy if you have large groups in the dining area, but generally okay. Would recommend booking.
Nice pub, great service, good food. We came here for a small birthday lunch whilst touring the area. We booked a table and had several small children with us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was nice, relaxed and family friendly. Good food options and it was all really tasty. A little on the pricy side for pub food but typical of the area. I would highly recommend this as a quick stupider for a drink and / or meal in the area.
