Just had a great weekend in Healesville, we enjoyed our two nights in Serenity, the house comfortably accommodated our family, the kids loved the backyard, and we appreciated the quiet location and short to town. thanks to Lucy's Cottages '
It was a comfortable home. However, we encountered several issues. When we arrived at 3pm for check-in, the cleaner was still there and hadn't finished preparing the cottage for our stay. When we did get to go in, the kitchen benches had puddles of water and 2 wet clothes just sitting there. The beds were hardly made and there was a basket of wet towels on the front doorstep. When we later went to make a cup of coffee, the mugs in the cupboard were all wet, as were the cutlery. Two of the main lights in the house did not work. The fireplace is rather tiny, however it was kept us nice and warm! There were a lot of 'small comforts' missing that are expected with accommodation of this price, as an example, there were no tissues anywhere. Please note, that this cottage is right on the main road and can be noisy at night. In our opinions, it was not worth the money and we would have preferred to spend the money on more luxurious accommodation. We won't be returning or recommending Lucy's cottage.
Stayed two nights there. Excellent hostess. Beautifully presented house with lots of comfortable living space and a great garden. A very short walk into Healesville main drag with all the facilities it has to offer.
